How many websites is best

The simple answer is, the more websites the better.

It is better to have lots of smaller websites rather than one huge one.

Let us suppose that over the year you have written 1000 pages.

Putting them all in one website is fine if they are all related to the topic. However, if you find it difficult to write 1000 pages of strictly on-topic material then your site might get a bit confused.

Confusion is bad for visitors.

Secondly is another other distinct benefits to splitting up sites into smaller groups.

You can use your sites to boost each other's position in search engines.

If you split your 1000 pages into say 10 sites of 100 pages each, and link to the others from each site then effectively you have 9 other websites linking to yours from the outset. This is good because Google used the number of sites linking to a site (its popularity) as a key metric in deciding on the ranking to give your pages. the more popular a site is, the higher up the listing it gets.

The higher the listing, the more visitors you get and the more money you can make.

Next: Lots of websites cost the same as one website
